Hola, amigo!
Welcome to my tropical-Dutch world! My name is Melissa, and I am a Costa Rican now living in the Netherlands. As a coffee lover, I deeply appreciate the rich coffee culture woven into my homeland. You might know Costa Rica for its lush nature and the famous saying "pura vida," but there’s so much more to discover!
I want to share a piece of my culture with you in every cup of coffee that Tyba offers. I carefully search for the best coffee varieties in my home country and bring them straight to your door.
And if you’re planning to travel to Costa Rica, don’t hesitate to contact me for insider tips on the best places to visit, including the best cafes! But if traveling isn’t possible, let me deliver a taste of Costa Rica to you with a beautiful package of our finest coffee.
So, sit back, relax, and let me take you to my tropical paradise with every sip.

Where does Tyba Coffee come from?

It starts high up in the lush mountains of southern Costa Rica.
Right near Chirripó—the tallest peak in the country.
The soil there? Rich and volcanic.
The weather? A perfect mix of warm sun and steady mountain rain.
This is where our coffee grows. Slowly. Naturally.
Cared for by the Rivense family, who’ve been farming these lands for generations.
Every harvest is handpicked with care.
And every worker is paid fairly—because great coffee should never come at someone else’s cost or the environment.
Once the beans arrive in the Netherlands, we roast them fresh.
Just enough to bring out their complexity—without overdoing it.
The result?
A cup that carries the warmth of the sun, the richness of the earth, and the soul of Costa Rica.
This is Tyba.
Coffee that travels well—but never forgets where it came from.
